Habana Sunglasses - Pearl / Azure
"Habana in the 50's..."
1956 issue of Cabaret Quarterly describes Habana as “a mistress of pleasure, the lush and opulent goddess of delights”. Habana was an international city; it had the feel of “La Dolce Vita” and the stars were there: Frank Sinatra, Ava Gardner, Gary Cooper, Marlon Brando, John Wayne, Walt Disney and, most of all, Ernest Hemingway. Hemingway spent 22 years living in Habana and he was considered by people a “real cuban”, calling him “Ernesto” or “Papa”. In his turn, he donated his own Nobel Prize for Literature to the Cuban people and made the Daiquiri one of the most famous drink in the world. 60 years later, it is impossible to visit Habana without falling in love with its wonderful mix of colors and its untouched ‘50s appeal.
