Capri Sunglasses - Black & Stracciatella - Classic Grey
"Capri in the 50's..."
Inspired by the '50s, a time when the mystical and lush isle of Capri became the epitome of La Dolce Vita, a place full of glitz and glamour. Jackie Onassis, Grace Kelly and Prince Ranier, Soraya Princess of Persia, Sophia Loren, Brigitte Bardot, Charlie Chaplin, Faye Dunaway, Rita Hayworth, Liz Taylor, Clark Gable, Simone de Beauvoir, Marguerite Yourcenar, Audrey Hepburn, Ingrid Bergman, Greta Garbo, Jack Lemmon, Kirk Douglas, all of them and many more were faces you could regularly see on the streets of Capri in the ‘50s and ‘60s. The island has always been synonymous with fashion: Think Capri pants designed in 1948 by fashion icon Sonja de Lennart and first worn by Grace Kelly or Florentine designer Emilio Pucci, who launched a haute couture salon on Capri in 1957 crediting the island and its myriad of colors and patterns as inspiration for his designs.
